Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is taking place November 13-21 this year. Throughout the week, COTS will be raising awareness around hunger and homelessness along with organizations and individuals across the country. This includes posting hunger prevention resources, educational materials, and information on how to donate and volunteer for COTS. Follow us on instagram @cotsvt to see what we have in store for the week!

Check out our educational and preventative materials below, along with resources for anyone in need of food assistance.

How can you contribute during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week?

Volunteer:
There are many ways you can support COTS shelters and services. We are currently seeking volunteers to make and serve lunch at the Daystation, our daytime shelter for single adults. We especially need volunteers for holiday meals, and you can sign up on our website here.

If you are looking for other volunteer opportunities at COTS please contact Romy at romyt@cotsonline.org.

Donate:
There are many ways you can donate to COTS. You can donate at any time online, or through the mail. Our Amazon Gift Wishlist has the most requested items our clients need. These items get shipped directly to COTS. Through AmazonSmile we also have a Holiday Wish List with items you can donate for the holidays. For more information on Holiday Giving, check out our recent blog post with information on how to give to COTS during the holidays.

You can also bring new, unused items directly to 95 North Avenue M-F 9-5 to donate! Before you bring any items, please check the Wishlist on our website to see what items we accept and are in need of. Please email romyt@cotsonline.org before dropping off.
