COTS embraces innovation and the efficient use of resources across all of our programs and services, which is why we were so delighted by a recent donation from Vermont Timber Works. On a blustery January day in 2010, COTS’ Canal Street Veterans Housing officially opened. In the five years since, this two-year transitional housing program for formerly homeless veterans and their families is among COTS’ most successful programs. Every year, starting the Monday after Thanksgiving, 50-plus COTS volunteers a night go “dialing-for-dollars” to raise money for COTS shelters and services.
