A donation to COTS in the name of a friend, relative or co-worker is a wonderful gift for the holidays. Make a minimum $10 donation to COTS in someone’s name, and we’ll send the recipient a beautiful Katharine Montstream holiday card.
COTS adds the following message: “A generous donation has been made to the Committee on Temporary Shelter in your name (donor’s name inserted). This gift of warmth and shelter will help families and indviduals who are experiencing the crisis of homelessness make it through the harsh winter months. Happy holidays and best wishes for the new year.”
Request for these cards may be made through Gillian via phone (802-864-7402, Ext. 210) or email (GillianT@cotsonline.org).

In 2007, COTS teamed up with Flashbags, the Burlington totebag and accessory company. COTS’ original bag featured general doorknob images. When it was time for an update, we decided to keep the doorknob theme – but this time – the doorknobs would tell another story about COTS.
We recruited Burlington commercial photographer and artist Dok Wright, who donated his time to capture the doorknobs (and accoutrements) at the Main Street Family Shelter. Then Flashbag owner Laura Cheney created a truly unique COTS collage with Dok’s photographs.
The Main Street Family Shelter in Burlington is an historic building that once served as a stop on the Underground Railroad. The facility now provides shelter for 10 families. COTS family shelters are currently full, with a waiting list.
