Walk 2016 Video

Two students — one in elementary school and one in college — teamed up with COTS to create a video Web series about the 2016 COTS Walk, and we could not be more grateful!

Please meet our COTS Walk 2016 Ambassador, Ellie LaMontagne! Ellie, 11, stars in the six video shorts. She is a longtime COTS Walker and a sixth-grader at Christ the King School in Burlington. (Ellie previously starred as the Fairy Godmother in her school’s production of “Cinderella.”)

Aenea Thorne, a sophomore filmmaking student at Champlain College, brought the COTS videos to life. She directed, shot, edited and produced the COTS shorts. (Aenea, a videographer for the past seven years, has previously created narrative films and documentaries. She is a graduate of the The Sharon Academy.)

The scripts were written by COTS staffer Lori Goldman in collaboration with Ellie and Aenea. The videos feature multiple locations (including a glimpse at our 95 North Avenue project under construction right now), costume changes, and information about the work COTS does year-round.

Binge watch all six videos now, or watch for their individual debuts on our Facebook page in the coming days.

And, please help us by sharing these videos with your friends and family on social media. Our goal: Encourage as many people as we can to “Book It to the Walk” this year! (Register today!)

Thank you again to these talented volunteers! We look forward to seeing you all at the Walk on May 1 at Battery Park!

Keep watching: More Ellie COTS Walk videos here!
