COTS is honored to salute KeyBank, an engaged partner and dedicated supporter. KeyBank has been a longtime supporter of COTS’ homelessness prevention efforts, a past event sponsor for the COTS’ What the Fix Slam, our COTS Walk and our 30th Anniversary celebration, and they have served lunch at the Daystation and organized Walk teams and event volunteers. They’ve helped with inkind donations of office furniture and other needs. They dine at The Coolest Lunch – in big and small ways and throughout the year, KeyBank has supported COTS and our community.

This year, KeyBank went above and beyond all of that. KeyBank was paramount in the success of our #172vt Campaign to End Homelessness One Child at a Time. KeyBank and Brigitte Ritchie helped with the organizing, planning, and logistics of our campaign to raise awareness of the often unseen number of homeless children in our community.

KeyBank then stepped up to spearhead the #172vt Back to School Drive to collect supplies for children in need.  After generously donating 172 backpacks to be filled, KeyBank helped with marketing and collecting donations, putting bins in their local branches. They helped us connect with other partners for the event, including Kinney’s Drug, Staples, and media support from WCAX-TV and Star 92.9.

KeyBank staff volunteered to help stuff the backpacks with supplies. Through their help and leadership, more than 200 backpacks – and a ton of school supplies – were then distributed to students in need through COTS, King Street Center, Burlington Boys & Girls Club, the Sara Holbrook Center, and Spectrum Youth & Family Services.

On behalf of everyone we serve, we would like to say thank you to Brigitte, KeyBank President Don Baker, and the KeyBank staff for the many, many ways KeyBank has been a Corporate Hero to COTS through the years.
