Homeschoolers Learn About Family Shelter at 13th Annual Bake Sale

Last Friday, Sept. 28th, the Homeschoolers held their 13th Annual Bake Sale Benefit for COTS outside the Fletcher Free Library! Organized by Jessica Wagner for the 13th year running, the event was a great success!

The Homeschoolers raised over $360 for COTS in just a few hours! And of course, seeing as we were at a Homeschooler fundraiser, we took the opportunity to teach the kids about Family Shelter and what a child living in shelter might experience.

This video is a great resource to share with your family if you have kids with questions about COTS and homelessness.

We had so much fun talking with the kids and are so thankful for all of their help.  We love partnering with young people and their parents to make service learning possible! Check out pictures from the event here!
